If you’re finally getting to Borderlands 3, before you pick up the game, it would be a good idea to learn a bit about it. These Borderlands 3 tips come from someone who has put a lot of time into the game. These are the best tips to help you become a True Vault Hunter …

Research Character Builds

Borderlands 3 has four Vault Hunters to choose from and each one has skill trees that you can customize every time you level. Before you put a point into your skill tree, you should do your research. If you have a “shoot first, ask questions later” profile, then you’re going to want to put focus towards your characters damage. For the new Hunter class, there’s a build that is all about subterfuge and stealth – this is perfect if you’re the type that likes to snipe as it will give you the opportunity to remain invisible while you sling some bullets at your enemies.

So, before you jump into Borderlands and start putting points in the skill tree without knowing what you’re doing, you need to do your research and find a build that’s suitable for you. Once you have found a good build, you can start investing those perk points.

Check for Alternate Fire Modes

A new feature of Borderlands 3 (one that we really like) is the addition of alternate fire modes on some of the guns. While playing the game, we found that it’s easy to forget about those alternate fire modes, so we felt like this would be a good tip for you. Whenever you get a new weapon, just make sure you check to see if it has any alternate fire modes.

If the gun you found has alternate fire modes, you’ll be able to switch between those modes using the D-pad on the controller.

Your Crew Challenges

Another new feature that has made Borderlands 3 stand out from the crowd is the Crew Missions. Complete those listed objections of the Crew Mission and you’ll get some pretty cool loot and gear. You can easily keep track of each crew mission through the map section of the menu, but most of the collectibles will pop up as you’re making your way through the campaign and during side missions. As you progress through a zone, just make sure you keep tabs on each one and don’t move to a new planet until you have wrapped them up because the rewards you get at the end are well worth the effort.

Recover Your Lost Loot

This one kind of took the Destiny approach when it comes to recovering lost look. There are times when you don’t get the opportunity to grab loot simply because you didn’t see it. You can recover that lost look aboard Sanctuary 3.

Go there and open up the machine, you’ll find weapons that you left behind – this is free of charge. If you’d like to increase the inventory size for lost loot, you can go to Marcus’ store on Sanctuary 3 and buy SDUs – this will give you the opportunity to recover more weapons from the machine.

So there you have it – tips to help you get started in Borderlands 3. If you’re picking up BL3 for the first time, we believe you’re going to like it as there’s so much you can do in the game.
